Geotechnical design — General requirements
Abstract

This Rwanda Standard provides the requirements for strength, stability, serviceability and durability of structures.
This standard is intended to be applied to the geotechnical aspects of the design of buildings and civil engineering works which includes basis of geotechnical design, geotechnical data, ground improvement and reinforcement, foundations, retaining structures, hydraulic failure and overall stability.
This standard does not consider other requirements such as thermal or sound insulation.
