Air conditioning appliances for household and similar use — Minimum energy performance — Requirements
Abstract

1.1 This East African Standard specifies the minimum energy performance and energy labelling
requirements for electrical non-ducted single-split, self-contained air-cooled air conditioners, air-to-air
reversible heat pumps, and portable air conditioners, with a rated cooling output of up to 16 kW.
1.2 This standard does not apply to:
a) water-cooled air conditioners;
b) water-source heat pumps;
c) multi-split air conditioners;
d) multi-split air-to-air heat pumps;
e) variable refrigerant flow systems; and
f) ducted equipment as well as non-electric energy sources.
