Code of practice for safety of electrical installations — Part 1: General
Abstract

This part of EAS 811 specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and methods of grounding of electrical supply, communication facilities and associated equipment. It applies to all new and existing installations and extensions.
This standard does not cover the grounded return of electric railways nor those lightning protection wires that are normally independent of supply or communication wires or equipment.
