Vehicle load management — Accreditation — Part 2: Vehicle load management information system

Abstract

This document contains a standard design specification, with specific minimum requirements with
regards to the Vehicle Load Management Information System (VLMIS) used at the Weigh Station.
These minimum requirements are divided into 5 criteria:
Criterion 1: Screening Module
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements for the VLMIS functionality that
supports the screening of vehicles, including integration with screening hardware.
Criterion 2: Weighing Module
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements for the VLMIS functionality that
supports the legal weighing of vehicles, including the integration with Static Scale or LSWIM
hardware and conducting tests related to vehicle load management.
Criterion 3: Transgression Module
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements for the VLMIS functionality that
supports the processing of overload violations and issuing of violation notices.
Criterion 4: Traffic Control Module
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements of the VLMIS that controls and
monitors Traffic Control equipment such as boom gates, traffic lights, alarms, and violation
loggers.
Criterion 5: Management Reporting
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements of the VLMIS functionality that
allows for management reports drawn from the data collected on the system.
