Vehicle load management — Accreditation — Part 1: Weigh station layout and design

Abstract

This document contains a proposed standard design specification, with specific minimum requirements with
regards to the Weigh Station Layout and Design, including Equipment, Hardware and Software. These
minimum requirements are divided into 5 criteria:
Criterion 1: Weigh Station Layout
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements for the layout and design of the structures
and areas of a Weigh Station.
Criterion 2: Screening Equipment
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements for the equipment and supporting
structures in the Screening Area of a Weigh Station.
Criterion 3: Static Scale
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements for the Static Scale and it’s support
structures used in the Weighing Area of a Weigh Station.
Criterion 4: Traffic Control Equipment
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements of Traffic Flow Control and Traffic Control
equipment used in a Weigh Station.
Criterion 5: Computer Hardware and Operating Software
This criterion expands on the specific minimum requirements of the computer hardware installed at a
Weigh Station, as well as the Operating Software installed on the computer hardware.
