Chillies — Determination of Scoville index

Abstract

This International Standard specifies a method for the
determination of the Scoville index of chillies, whole
or ground, unadulterated by other spices or products.
NOTE 1 Chillies commonly tested for their pungency are
those of the species Capsicum frutescens Linnaeus.
